Who we are_

Domino Sound is a queer, woman-owned production studio & consulting agency creating scholastic, innovative, and provocative media content.

Kenya Denise and Alex di Palma established Domino Sound in 2018 to be a collaborative, experimental, supportive creative space for often overlooked minorities to amplify their voices via art and tell their stories sans oppression.

  • Co-Founder & Creative Director

    Kenya is a writer, artist, professor, host, model, trip sitter, casting director, music supervisor, and executive producer. She is the EP of the hit infidelity narrative audio-drama, The Cheat Code, and wrote its TV adaptation. She was audio EP on artist Naima Green’s experimental digital archive of queer New York, SKIN CONTACT. She was the Creative Director of HBO’s Between the World and Me podcast. For her sociological research on the Black Diaspora, mental health, and drugs, she is an inaugural Fellow of Psychedelic Journalism at UC Berkeley. She currently teaches “Theatre of the Mind” at The New School.

    For Kenya, imagination and experimentation are key. Due to relocation after Hurricane Katrina, she grew up in both New Orleans and the DMV. She is a disabled Scorpio who hates racism. She is also a psychonaut who throws amazing parties.

  • Co-founder and Executive Producer

    Alex di Palma is an executive producer, editor, consultant, and educator. Prior to founding Domino Sound, Alex ran the Brand Studio Stitcher, produced television at Fusion and CNN, and a daily news show at Minnesota Public Radio. She attended Columbia University and NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.

    She’s the executive producer of the queer hit podcast, Food 4 Thot, which OprahDaily called “one of the best LGBTQ podcasts of 2021” and was the first podcast to be integrated into Grindr’s app. She was an executive producer of HBO’s Between the World and Me Podcast and the narrative audio-drama, The Cheat Code.

    She teaches the seven-week online Podcasting Workshop alongside best-selling author and marketing expert, Seth Godin. She also produces his podcast, Akimbo. She was audio EP on photographer Naima Green’s experimental digital archive of queer NYC, SKIN CONTACT. She currently teaches “Theatre of the Mind” at The New School. She’s an extremely proud cat mom and her favorite diet is a Mediterranean one. She has an acute salt addiction.

  • Brooke-Ashley Jones

    EVENT PRODUCER

    Brooke is an event producer extraordinaire originally from Dallas, Texas, currently based in Brooklyn, New York. She has produced events nationwide. Brooke started her career organizing small local concerts and transitioned into producing experiential pop-ups, conferences, large concerts, and festivals. She has a niche for thoughtfully integrating sponsorships and advertisements into events and getting the most out of a budget. Brooke is natural negotiator, and she loves a good barter.

    Through every aspect of creating an event, Brooke always considers how every element will make each person think and feel. The ultimate gratification is when people leave an experience just as excited as they were upon arrival.

  • Roberto Flores

    CREATIVE DIRECTOR

    Roberto is a Mexico City-based creative director, designer and internationally-acclaimed tattoo artist. Rob brings his signature aesthetic to every element of Domino Sound Fest, from the branding to the website to the creative direction of the venue. He’ll be in NYC taking tattoo appointments in June - reserve your spot HERE!
